Does anyone know where to find some small blade stiffeners. I have a 3" saw blade for a micro saw and need 2" - 2.5" stiffeners. It is a .02 kerf blade so It will need something. Any help would be appreciated. |

I'm not so sure you will need a stiffener. What are you cutting with it? I use a small diamond blade for cutting pearl and it is pretty stiff of course it is a little smaller than your 3" but it is very thin. You might try a couple large diameter flat washers if you can find some with the proper sized hole. |

Like John said, Try some washers with the same size hole as the saw's arbor. |

If you use washers, it might be a good idea to flatten them on a stone first. Most standard washers are pretty soft & will distort quite easily. You can get "hard washers" from most good auto supply stores. They are made from hardened steel & are precision ground. |

I made some spacers for my Diablo blades which I triple gang to make kerfing on the table saw - piece of 5/16 aluminum plate, cut out 3 inch circles on the bandsaw. The baldes run very true. |

You think I can get by without the stiffeners? |

I think it shold be ok. What are you turning it with? Is it a diamond blade? I just made a mounting clamp for my dremel and put a sliding table on it with an adjustable stop for a fence. It works great. wear a mask. |
